WHAT IT DOES

Display quantity tiers backed by a real Shopify discount and lock the quantity in the cart.

SHOPIFY ADMIN

Create the automatic discount matching the tier

The theme block changes the quantity and presents the offer. Shopify remains responsible for calculating and applying the discount.

In Shopify admin, open Discounts and click Create discount.

Choose Amount off products.

Under Method, select Automatic discount so customers do not need to enter a code.

Enter a recognizable title, such as “10% off 5 units”. This title can be visible in cart and checkout.

Under Discount value, choose Percentage or Fixed amount, then enter the saving actually promised by the volume block.

Under Applies to, choose Specific products and select the exact product, or Specific collections when the same offer covers several products.

Under Minimum requirements, select Minimum quantity of items and enter the tier quantity, such as 5.

Choose customer eligibility and, when needed, discount combination rules.

Set active dates and save the discount.

THEME EDITOR

Open Online Store → Themes → Customize.

Load a product covered by the Shopify discount and open its product template.

In Main product, add or open the Volume pricing / Volume offers block.

For the relevant offer, enter exactly the same quantity as in Shopify. If Shopify requires 5 items, quantity_2 or the selected tier must be 5.

Enter the tier title, detail, and saving badge. The displayed percentage or amount must match the Shopify discount.

Save, then repeat this correspondence for every displayed tier.

TIER PROTECTION

When a volume offer is selected, the theme adds the chosen quantity and marks the line with private technical properties.

The cart recognizes that the line comes from the volume offers block.

Controls that increase or decrease this quantity are not offered for that line.

If an external change is attempted, the cart script restores the quantity stored by the tier.

Customers can still remove the entire line: the lock does not force the purchase.

PRE-PUBLISH VALIDATION

Open the storefront preview and select the volume tier.

Confirm that the form quantity exactly matches the tier.

Add the product and confirm Shopify displays the expected discount in cart.

Confirm the quantity cannot be changed to 6, 9, or another value from cart.

Confirm the remove action deletes the complete line.

Add the offer again and continue to checkout to confirm the final amount.

Test every relevant variant and every permitted combination with other promotions.
