Bundles
Create the parent product with Shopify Bundles, connect its components to the theme sections, and validate pricing, variants, and inventory.
Create the bundle with the official Shopify Bundles app
The theme presents and adds an existing bundle. Its composition, variants, and inventory must first be defined in the free Shopify Bundles app.
- 01
Create and publish every component product with correct variants, pricing, and inventory.
- 02
Install the official Shopify Bundles app, then open Apps → Shopify Bundles.
- 03
Click Create bundle, enter its title, then add component products and the required quantity of each.
- 04
Configure the bundle options and variant combinations, then save.
- 05
Open the parent bundle product generated by the app. Add media and description, then set its actual price and optional compare-at price.
- 06
Set the parent product to Active when ready. Bundle availability is based on component inventory; do not invent separate inventory for the parent.
Connect the parent product to the theme sections
- 01
In the theme editor, add Bundle Lookbook, Curated Bundles, or Showroom Hotspots based on the desired presentation.
- 02
Choose Shopify Bundle mode when a selector distinguishes a flexible promotion from a strict bundle.
- 03
Under Parent bundle product, select the product created by Shopify Bundles—never one of its components.
- 04
For a component view, add each child product in the provided blocks and select the exact variants included in the parent.
- 05
In Bundle Lookbook, create one block per component. The theme automatically limits choices to variants included in the parent bundle.
- 06
In Showroom Hotspots, select the parent first, followed by the child products used for interactive points.
- 07
Save and preview every parent-product combination.
Pricing, cart behavior, and flexible promotions
- ✓
The button adds the parent bundle variant to cart. Child products selected in blocks are used for presentation and mapping; they do not create the bundle.
- ✓
The actual charged price comes from the Shopify parent product. A compare-at price or percentage displayed by the section does not create a discount.
- ✓
For an additional promotion, create a real Shopify discount targeting the parent product or set its promotional price directly.
- ✓
Shopify Bundles is for strict composition with component-based inventory. Individual products / flexible promotion mode is for free selection and requires its own Shopify discount rules.
- ✓
When a component variant becomes unavailable, dependent parent combinations should also become unavailable.
Test before publishing
- 01
Test every option combination and confirm displayed components match the parent.
- 02
Add the bundle to cart and confirm the parent product is added at the expected price.
- 03
Continue to checkout and confirm the actual total exactly matches the advertised saving.
- 04
Temporarily sell out a component in a test store and check that its dependent combination becomes unavailable.
- 05
Test removal, mixed carts, combinable discounts, and mobile selectors.
